Application in for Holy Trinity marquee outside Bramley Moore

Stephen Hurrell, June 10, 2025

The Holy Trinity ‘fan zone’ outside Bramley Moore Stadium will be able to hold 1,500 match-going fans, according to a new planning application for the project.

The giant marquee on the site operated by Terry’s Timber and directly opposite Everton’s new stadium received a licence to operate earlier this year and now a formal application has been submitted before work begins on the match day venue.

The application confirms the yard, previously used as a car park by Terry’s Timber, has been leased by local Reform candidate Gary Hincks operating under the name Mersey View Leisure. It will be able to serve alcohol and play music from 9am in the morning to midnight on match days.

The venue will be a marquee measuring 25m by 85m and covering the entirety of the leased site. It will feature four food units in containers alongside the marquee when it opens for fans.

The application says: “The development comprises of a Marquee for use as a place of assembly
on the open site, it is of simple rectangular design and its main use will be to complement the new Everton Stadium for servicing of the expected number of spectators.

“The proposed development is intended to utilise the whole of the site and the street known as Fulton Street which is owned by the timber merchants and has been leased to the applicant.”

The Holy Trinity marquee will operate next to the popular Bramley Moore Pub, which is the most established venue outside the stadium. It will soon be joined by a raft of new bars including the bierkeller-style Blue House, The Terrace, The Old Lady and a new ‘hospitality’ venue built from shipping containers in Collingwood Dock named The Howard Kendall Suite.
