Everton have finally sold out of season tickets for Bramley Moore Stadium after a lengthy process to move existing and new holders across to the new stadium.
The club has now revealed a small detail about the new season tickets after it trademarked the tagline ‘Forever Blue’.
The club has filed the trademark today (April 15) and plans to use the phrase on digital tickets, loyalty schemes as well as club clothing and merchandise, according to the application. An image showing the trademark has now also appeared on the government website.
Everton have never used the phrase ‘Forever Blue’ before but Forever Everton is a song used for the 1986 FA Cup Final against Liverpool and is regularly played before games.
The phrase comes after a flurry of applications by the club to trademark the names of all of the bars within Bramley Moore Stadium including the likes of Dixies Sports Bar, Kendall’s Social and restaurants in the Yard on 1 concept of bars.
The club has previously trademarked phrases such as ‘The People’s Club’ as well as logos and badges used by the club. Earlier this year Everton trademarked a modern version of the 1985 badge, which does not include a shield and features the letters EFC above Prince Rupert’s Tower.
