Everton’s third test event at Bramley Moore Stadium – now called Hill Dickinson Stadium – has been confirmed for 9 August.
The date was confirmed by a stadium caterer who is looking to hire staff to service the event. A company called Chef’s Bay has issued job listing for staff to help with a test event at the stadium while confirming it will take place on Saturday 9 August.
It says: “We’ve secured exclusive supply for the Hill Dickinson Stadium’s final test event before the Premier League starts.”
It is seeking retail leads and chefs for the event and suggests a prep day will take place on the Friday and the event itself will take place on the Saturday before the Premier League season begins.
A screenshot of the job listing was circulated on social media network BlueSky by ‘Dan Friedkin’s Co-Pilot’.
The date would make sense for the first team because it is now the only weekend of the summer break where Everton will be available to play a friendly due to away games at Accrington Stanley and Blackburn followed by a tour of the USA where Everton will play West Ham, Bournemouth and Manchester United in the Premier League Series.
Everton will return to the UK in early August, leaving just a single Saturday where the club could host a match at Bramley Moore.
There is still an option for the club to host an u21s or legends game instead but the third safety certificate means the stadium will need to be at capacity for the third test event.
The club itself confirmed it is still planning one more friendly in August but has not revealed the location or the opponents despite strong rumours Roma will be the visitors.
Everton have not officially confirmed the timing of the third stadium test event.
