Full details of Howard Kendall Suite container bar confirmed

Stephen Hurrell, June 26, 2025June 26, 2025

The full details of a new pre- and post-match bar at Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium have emerged.

The Howard Kendall Suite is not affiliated with the club but will be a pre-match hospitality venue hosting up to 140 people, according to a planning application submitted to Liverpool City Council.

The venue will be based in Collingwood Dock with views of the new Everton stadium and will be built using seven metal containers installed next to the existing red brick building on Collingwood Dock, next to the Bascule bridge opposite the Titanic Hotel.

The application says: “The proposal is for a single storey events space that caters for prebooked dinners and or drinks predominantly working in tandem with the Bramley Moore Stadium matches. There will be a bar area, dining area, kitchen spaces and toilet facilities which encompass an outdoor sitting area.”

It adds: “It is intended that membership for these services will be sold on a seasonal basis for those who are not able to commit to Everton’s hospitality services within the stadium itself.”

On non match days the space will be used for other events such as family parties and funerals, says the application. The developers have also submitted a licence application to sell alcohol on the site.

The proposal also includes plans to open space as a community hub to teach children cooking skills on days when matches are not being played. It includes a chef who will teach vital skills and who has existing relationships with Everton in the Community, says the application.

It adds: “The commercial/hospitality entity of this proposal will help fund the education/community
uses that will bring forward key benefits for the local community.”

The Howard Kendall Suite, if granted planning permission, will open in time for the new Premier League season. Tickets for the venue are expected to cost £2,500 but do not include a match ticket.

The application says the bar is temporary and will only be installed for up to five years.
