A giant complex featuring multiple sports bars, street food stalls and function rooms will open near Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
An application has been submitted for a former nightclub at 21 Carlton Street and 34 Regent Road, near the Invisible Wind Factory venue a short walk on the southern side of Bramley Moore Dock and Everton’s new stadium.
The application says: “A multi-use space is to be created with a Mediterranean theme at the heart of the proposal. The space will include Function rooms, a Street Food Market Hall with bar and delicatessen, and
Various bars with live coverage of sports events on large screens.”
The plans show there will be multiple bar areas on the ground floor of the proposed venue, with a food market and street food vendors in the largest room.
The venue will also include an outdoor seating area and will serve fans heading to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, according to the application.
The building on Carlton Street was a night club and more recently has been used to host events including raves under the name North Shore Troubadour. The unit on Regent Road is a warehouse that will be converted into a hospitality venue as part of the application.
The venue is next to Ten Streets Social and should create a vibrant bar and food area between Liverpool city centre and the stadium. The Regent Street side of the proposed venue will be mostly food-led, giving fans a chance to get street food before and after the match.
The Carlton Street side will be mostly focused on bars with multiple rooms featuring large screens planned to cater for football fans.
The new proposed venue is awaiting planning permission from Liverpool City Council and if approved would join the likes of the Dock Wall and existing venues including Ten Streets Social and Murphy’s Distillery in what is becoming a small hub of hospitality for the new stadium.
