A new Everton shirt ‘leak’ has appeared on social media with some fans speculating it could show Everton’s new kit for the 2025/26 season.
The Castore shirt has been shared on WhatsApp groups reportedly showing the new Everton home shirt for next season but its source has not been confirmed. It is worth noting a previous leaked shirt for last season did not prove to be accurate and Castore is notoriously leak proof compared to other manufacturers.
The image shows a Royal Blue shirt featuring an asymetric collar as seen on Castore’s 2023/24 Rangers shirt. It also closely resembles Everton’s collar from the 1987 season and has a similar ‘shine’ effect seen on this season’s home shirts.
Castore has not used the asymetric collar on any of its recent launches. An Irish women’s kit uses a polo neck collar design, while new England cricket shirts feature a mixture of polo neck and thin symetrical collars.
Interestingly, the 1987 Everton shirt used the stripped-down shield-less Everton badge – a design the club trademarked recently to appear on a new merchandise range. It could mean the badge returns for more merchandise or even for the second or third shirt next year.
The most notable aspect of the leak is the wave pattern on the shirt, which would signify the club’s first season at Bramley Moore on the banks of the River Mersey.
The shirt also features unpopular gambling sponsor Stake on the front. It will be the last time Everton can use Stake as a sponsor because anti-gambling sponsorship rules will be in place from the 2026/27 season, meaning Everton will have to look elsewhere from next year.
