Liverpool fans on Instagram have hurled shocking racist insults towards Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure after the 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.
Doucoure was sent off after the final whistle after celebrating in front of the Liverpool fans. Curtis Jones and Arne Slot were also red carded after the match as nearly every player on the pitch was involved in a brawl.
Doucoure will now miss the next Everton match away at Crystal Palace and the midfielder has been subject to sickening abuse on social media from Liverpool fans.
Hundreds of comments have been posted with monkey emojis, images of monkeys and several serious racial slurs as Liverpool fans line up to attack Doucoure after the match.

One account, named medoeltriki, has posted tens of racist messages with particularly vile slurs. The account, which has an image of Sadio Mane as its profile picture, posted large numbers of monkey emojis immediately after kick off.
Despite the hundreds of vile comments, at least one Liverpool fan hit back at the comments, saying: “any supposed “Liverpool fans” in the comments being racist is a disgrace to our club. this is not how we handle rough moments and players that get to us. this is classless. do better.”
However, it was quickly drowned out in the intense racial abuse.
Last year Liverpool FC issued its support for the No Room For Racism campaign. At the time it said: “All reports of abuse received by the club will be investigated and escalated to the relevant authorities to be dealt with. The club also continues to work with the Premier League, Football Association and other integral organisations, as well as calling on social media platforms to take swift and tough action against perpetrators.”
