A mystery new hospitality suite named the Howard Kendell Suite and built from shipping containers outside Bramley Moore.
A company called Intersky Group, which says it specialises in hospitality at racecourses, says it will build a suite out of eight containers at Collingwood Dock with views across the dock to Everton’s new stadium at Bramley Moore.
Located a short distance from the stadium, the suite will be named the Howard Kendall Suite after Everton’s iconic player and manager. However, it should not be confused with Kendall’s Social inside the stadium itself.
The new hospitality suite says it serves a food and drink before and after matches and costs £2,500 for the season, does not include tickets and does not seem to be an official hospitality bar associated with the club.
Social media accounts have released two images of the potential new venue and says a full launch will take place on Friday 18 April.
It says: “Situated 300 yards from the new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, The Intersky Group offers a fully stocked bar, fine dining, and fantastic pre- and post-match entertainment.”
The company behind the plans (Intersky Commercial Enterprises) was incorporated has one director listed as Anthony Terence Murphy but the website lists a William Murphy as the managing director. He was previously director of Intersky Corporate Club, which was founded in 2004 but was dissolved in 2014. He is also listed as a director of Intersky Care Ltd, which was dissolved in 2019.
The container suite has not been the subject of any planning applications or licensing applications at the time of writing. A website is now live showcasing the development but social media links go to Wix, the website development platform. An Instagram account for the suite is active with two posts showing the CGI images of the development.
Everton’s owner The Friedkin Group is rumoured to be interested in buying Nelson Dock. Part of the £5.5bn Liverpool Waters regeneration project, Nelson Dock already has planning permission for hotels, homes and a floating sports facility as part of the original planning application by Peel Ports.
Everton’s plan to buy the Dock would allow the Friedkin Group to develop hospitality, retail and hotels to compliment Bramley Moore Stadium. Interim CEO Colin Chang, told property conference MIPIM the Friedkins are considering a sports-led development.
He said: “There was always an idea that we might be able to develop a complementary development to support the stadium’s development.
“We are currently going through a fact-finding mission, carrying out surveys, and hopefully we will have some information back in the next month or two.”
