A new business hub and bar will open on Regent Road near to Everton’s new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock.
An application has been submitted to convert a printing company office and greeting card shop into a business hub, cafe and bar that will act as another option for fans attending games next season.
The property at 25 Dickson Street, which also faces onto Regent Road near the Ten Streets Social and Murphy’s Distillery bars, will be the latest match day drinking option for Everton fans if planning is approved.
The property is a two-storey warehouse used by a printing company, an attached retail unit currently used by a greeting card company, and a small outdoor area.
The greeting card company is vacating the premises and that frees up the owners to create a small business hub, terrace and bar on the site, according to the application.
‘Sprinter Printer’ will remain in part of the ground floor and will open a business hub called ‘Dry Dock’ upstairs. It will feature meeting rooms, hot desks and conference space.
Meanwhile, the ground floor will be converted into the ‘Dock Wall’, a bar that will be open from 5pm on weekdays and 9am to 11pm on weekends to welcome match day fans.
The application says: “There is clear change occurring within the local area, from the recent construction of Everton FC new stadium, only 500m from the site, which is expected to transform and energise the redevelopment of the local area.”
The new bar will join a hub of bars at the southern end of the Hill Dickinson Stadium that forms part of the ‘Ten Streets’ regeneration area. It includes the vast Ten Streets Social bar and the Everton supporter-owned Murphy’s Distillery, which were popular haunts for fans of the recent test events at the stadium.
The bars are a short walk from the city centre and will form part of the new match day experience for fans of the club.
