Everton have confirmed they will be travelling to Accrington Stanley in their first summer friendly for 2025.
The League Two club will host Everton at the wonderfully named Wham Stadium, which has a capacity of 5,000 of which around 1,800 are expected to be away fans.
The match takes place on Tuesday 15 July with kick off at 7.45pm and while Everton have kept their usual silence on ticketing arrangements fans can already buy tickets to the home end of the stadium.
Of course buying a ticket in the home end as an away fan can be risky. Some clubs will be stricter than others on fans watching from the wrong end but given it is a local friendly it might be an option for fans who do not want to wait for Everton to eventually decide to launch tickets.
Tickets for the HML Recycling stand (running lengthways along the side of the pitch) are on sale now for £12 on the Accrington Stanley website, while the home end behind the goal, the Farleys Solicitors Stand, is also on sale for the match.
Everton have not announced how they will be allocating tickets for the away end of the stadium.
While Accrington is only a short distance from Liverpool the train takes up to two hours. Unfortunately for Everton fans the last train from Accrington to Liverpool leaves at 9.23pm, which means fans will have to miss most of the second half, stay over in Accrington, or arrange alternative transport home after the friendly.
Everton fans will be able to watch a live stream of the game as part of an Forever Blue+ membership. Details of the live stream will be shared on the official Everton website at a later date.
Everton will travel to nearby Blackburn Rovers for a second pre season friendly on Saturday 19 July at 3pm. Fans can expect a bigger capacity away end at Ewood Park for the club’s second friendly and final game before flying to the US to play Bournemouth, West Ham and Manchester United in the Premier League summer series.
