Everton warn over scam ticket sellers for final Goodison Park games

Stephen Hurrell, April 8, 2025April 8, 2025

Reseller websites listing tickets to Everton’s final Goodison Park games for thousands of pounds could be a scam, Everton has warned.

The club has warned fans to not buy tickets from a host of websites who have listed tickets for obscene amounts of money and released a list of sites not to trust. The sites may suggest they have tickets for Goodison Park but may not actually have them, leaving fans out of pocket.

Fans faced huge queues for tickets for the Ipswich Town home game today and the final game against Southampton is set to be even more in demand.

With just three games left, desperate fans may be tempted to shell out money to sites such as Stubhub, Vividseats and LiveFootballTickets but all three are included on an extensive ‘do not trust’ list.

Everton say only the club’s official resale site and official hospitality partners and fans should not buy from elsewhere.

The club has also released details of the Southampton ticket process. It says: “Priority Purchase Window: Official Members or non-Season Ticket holding shareholders who have bought tickets for all 18 previous home Premier League fixtures in the 2024/25 season* will be granted an exclusive priority window to purchase tickets for the match against Southampton. This window will open at 10am on Tuesday 22 April and will close at 5pm on Thursday 24 April.

“Ballot Application: Following the Priority Purchase Window, Official Members and non-Season Ticket holding shareholders who have bought for 15 or more home Premier League fixtures from the previous 19 games** will be able to apply for tickets via a ballot. Ballot registration will open at 10am on Wednesday 23 April and will close at 5pm on Thursday 24 April. The ballot will be drawn at random and will not be weighted by when a supporter entered the ballot during the application window.”
