A pub originally named as St Domingos has revealed a new name and a first look at the four-storey building that will house Everton fans when Bramley Moore Stadium opens.
As revealed on TheToffees.Online, a planning application for 66 Regent Road was submitted under the name St Domingos but the team behind the Falcon Pub in Kirkby has now revealed the new bar will be called The Old Lady in honour of Goodison Park.
James Williams posted to the Falcon Facebook page and said: “Coming soon: The Old Lady – a brand new pub just yards from our new stadium!
“Named in honour of our historic home. We hope it will be your new matchday destination, a place to make new memories while keeping the spirit of Goodison alive.”
A video shows the building will need plenty of work to make it ready for match day but when finished it will offer spectacular views of Bramley Moore Stadium when it does open.
The pub, which is described as ‘for Blues, by Blues’, will take over four floors of the historic building with views across the northeast corner of Bramley Moore Stadium. The pub will form a row of three proposed new drinking venues for Evertonians.
Next door in the ‘David Rollo’ building will house The Blue House bar, a bierkeller-style establishment designed by the owners of the Hot Wok takeaway near Goodison Park. Next to that will be The Terrace with a rooftop area with views over the stadium.
The Old Lady has applied to open on 11am on weekdays and 10am at weekends, with beer served until midnight througout the week and on match days.
